Go gentle.. this is very much a work in progress...

Goal here is not just to augment my resume but possible start some pages of insight I'd like to share based on my experience over the years.

Myself....

I began programming at a very early age. How early? I learned Logo and then BASIC on a Commodore Pet (think early 80's). After graduating from the University of Winnipeg, I hopped on a plane and flew down to sunny southern California to join the video game industry.

I spent many a death march and crunch time in games, before moving on to other industries, and ending up working in Medical/Dental CAD Software.

My software engineering career spans over 25 years, ranging from academic, educational software, games development, web programming, through medical and dental cad software.

I've worked as both in individual contributor and leadership roles, firmly believing the myth of the "Unicorn"" programmer is itself a myth. There are plenty of us out there, developers with both engineering and soft skills. Those who can code in solitude, and also lead a team of developers.
