This entire website is written by hand using javascript, html, and css. I tried to use minimal prexisting components.
Over the last few years, I've worked with the following technologies>
WebGL
ThreeJS
Web Assembly, including porting large scale 3D and UI based CAD apps to browser based
AWS (S3 buckets, EC2 instances)
Microservices
Javascript, bootstrap
Written web services and servers in C++ using Boost
Python and flask for servers
React (rookie)
Ruby on Rails - used for game server for 'Dancing with the Stars'
I will be honest. I don't retain all of this stuff, and sometimes it is a matter of going back and getting up to speed on some of this tech again. Much of it was done intermittent with other work, or intensely for a few months at any given company or project.
Old School, high performance, low level sockets programming and games programming
I worked at GameSpy, back when it was the service for match making, server browsing, Lobbies, stats, ladders, and generally connecting people together for online game play. Those were different times, writing low level Berkley Sockets type C code. I was a client of theirs originally, when working on Deer Hunter. I ended up working with the developers at GameSpy to helping port their technology over to PS2. Afterwards, they ended up hiring them to help with porting PSP and PS3.
Although I can in no way compare the sheer complexity of modern games, during that time I worked on systems to allow peer to peer play, client server, and handled host migration situation we a player who was the host for whatever reason disapears and one of the clients must automatically and seemlessly convert to being the server.
Games I wrote networking code for
Scratch the Ultimate DJ (PS3), unpublished
World Poker Tour (PS2/Xbox)
World Championship Poker (PS2/Xbox)
Deer Hunter (PS2)
Assisted on And 1 Basketball while at GameSpy
Other products I wrote networking code for
Thales next-gen 3D UI engine for SPU and VDU hardware.
Several internal tools at different companies including logging apps, debugging apps.
